St. Blasien Cathedral (actually the former Abbey Church of St. Blasius) in the southern Black Forest is the largest domed church north of the Alps, with a dome span of 36 meters and a height of 62 meters. This imposing, early-Classical building is considered the landmark of the town of Sankt Blasien and, due to its enormous size, is also known as the “Black Forest Cathedral.”
