Taking advantage of bone dry conditions. Fantastic estate tracks then the Kilbo right of way up to the plateau. Dry hard ground cycle to the summit. Descent in the direction of Dog Hillocks to pick up track to loop over Bawhelps and Broom hill, track down Glack of Balwhadder is overgrown and tricky to follow, but rideable. Looks like lower track by the river is a bog fest in wet weather… fast ride back to Prosen village, detouring at Cramie to follow farm tracks back to start. Route for Settled dry conditions only. Mayar and back is a fine ride in itself.
