Bin mit dem Bus von Berchtesgaden bis zur Haltstelle Wimbachbrücke gefahren und zurück von der Haltestelle Ramsau Kirche.

Wer möchte, kann auch zusätzlich am Anfang der Tour, durch die Wimbachklamm wandern. Dazu aber am Kassenhäuschen einen Taler für den Eintritt in die Klamm erwerben.
Zur Hochalmscharte sind Kondition und Trittsicherheit erforderlich. Einige kleine Passagen sind Drahtseilversichert.
