Die Tour startete in Mechterstädt. Zunächst musste das Tal gewechselt werden, d. h. vom Hörseltal ins Nessetal über den asphaltierten Radweg von Mechterstädt nach Ebenheim. Der nächste Ort war dann Haina, dass an der Nesse gelegen ist. Ab Friedrichswerth ging es dann auf dem Nessetal-Radweg nach Erfurt.
