The classic and easiest route up Babia Góra (1725 m) — the highest peak of the Western Beskids and the highest non-Tatra summit in Poland. Starting from the high trailhead at Przełęcz Krowiarki, the red trail climbs steeply through forest to Sokolica, then follows a scenic open ridge over Kępa and Gówniak all the way to the summit. The upper section is rocky and exposed, with sweeping views over the valleys and across to the Tatras on a clear day. We returned along the same trail.
Note: Babia Góra is known for fast-changing, severe weather — bring layers and check conditions before you go.
Dogs are not allowed on the Polish side of the national park.
