Anfahrt mit Auto (geht auch öffentlich, dann Start in Obergrainau) - zunächst Forstweg im Wald, dann einfacher Weg bis Stepbergalm. Ab Abzweigung zum Ziegspitz steiler Pfad mit einigen kleinen Kletterstellen. Gratweg mit grandiosem Ausblick aufs Wettersteingebirge mit Zugspitze. Unbedingt Einkehr Stepbergalm auf dem Rückweg. Abstieg auf sehr schönem Pfad an der gelben Wand vorbei, letztes Stück vollkommen ebener Weg zurück zum Parkplatz.
