Lovely wildcamp last night and some dry air to air the tents this morning. Today’s mission to Lizard Point, the UKs most southerly.
Across Looe Bar through the sand and then back onto cliffs. Blue skies and clear paths, and a couple of early back and forths with Tim and Nicki and then Gaz and Eliza. I think we are starting to do this intentionally.
A quick stop at Gunwalloe Chruch cove for the toilets and more water, then through Poldhu, Pollurian and the quaint Mullion cove. Kynance cove provided a huge amount of people, we were not ready for that one, even on a Monday! the tide was in though so just lots of rock hoppers.
Our sights were set on Ellie’s Soul kitchen just after the carpark, based on other walkers top tips. Gaz and Eliza waiting there so had lunch together. An unbelievable pit stop. Must return!
Post lunch and spicy margs for some, it was a bit of a slower afternoon walk to Lizard Point. Much less on show compared to Lands End, but bought back nice memories from LEJOG in 2023. Rounded the point and a start difference in water. A much calmer sea and the seals all swimming about too. Listerine-blue water showed. This next section looks exciting.
