First "summit" of the route. Turn left to find some nice camp spots.

If you wish, you can take a shortcut here. It is a tough climb with a lot of hike-a-bike. However, the single trail down the other side is fantastic.

An American Air Force B-17 crashed on this mountain in 1945 when it got lost in a snowstorm. There are still small pieces of debris lying around.

The highest continuous stone pine forest in Europe.

Connects the Engadin Valley with the Val Müstair

Beautiful and cozy official campground.

Entrance to Val Mora. For some, the most beautiful valley in Switzerland.

You hardly notice it but this is the border with Italy.

To get there, you need to do a bit of hike-a-bike. You will be rewarded with beautiful views and a fantastic single trail. If you prefer an easier option, you can ride over the northern Alpisella Pass.

Famous place for winter and summer vacations. Bike shops available.

Extremely steep climb. You'll have to push the bike most of the time. No access to water.

Highest point of the route. 2687m above sea level. Crossing it means you're back in Switzerland.

Newly built flow trail. Well-deserved reward after the brutal climb.

Lots of nice picnic spots and possibilities to take a dip in the creek.

Another nice and easy trail down the valley.

Small village. Shops, Restaurants and Hotels. There is also a camp ground little further up the Albula road.

Ride along a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A road cyclists favorite because there is usually very little traffic.

8km long single trail back to the Engadin valley. Some tricky parts.
