Unaksan (938m) is one of Gyeonggi Province's five great "ak" peaks (rugged, rocky mountains). It offers views reminiscent of the Betlbawi rocks of Dutasan and the Manmulsang formations of Gayasan in Hapcheon. The rocky ridge sections aren't technically difficult and the safety equipment is well maintained. However, the ridges can be dangerous in winter, so I don't recommend it during that season.
The facilities at both the trailhead and exit (restrooms, restaurants) are well maintained. There is a bus from Cheongnyangni, but it takes a long time and runs infrequently. By car, you can arrive within 2 hours. The public parking lot at the trailhead costs 2,000 won for the whole day, payable by cash or bank transfer only.
