An unusual one — and that’s exactly why it’s here. From Riva del Garda the route climbs through Campi and follows an old military road almost to the top of Monte d’Oro. The way down starts with a short technical descent across open meadow — a rare surface for this area — then a gravel road that gradually turns to asphalt and delivers you to Lake Ledro, from where you roll back to Riva. Honest verdict: not the hardest ride around, not the most spectacular either — but it’s different. Military history, meadow riding, a quiet corner of the mountains the classics skip. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
