Bei bis 30°C am Canal du Midi entlang, mit vielen "Gravel" Abschnitten, aber immer gut zu fahren. Der oft beklagte grobe Schotter war bestenfalls auf einer Strecke von 100 m zu finden, und das Kopfsteinpflaster gab es nur an kurzen speziellen Abschnitten, wie z.B. Brücken.
Aber wegen des sehr warmen Wetters und des doch langsameren Tempos wurde es dennoch ein weiter langer und staubiger Tag.
