Predannack Cross is a small hamlet and crossroads area on the western side of the Lizard Peninsula, near Mullion and south of Helston.
It’s best known for:
* Access to dramatic coastal walks and heathland
* Proximity to Predannack Airfield, a former RAF and current Royal Navy satellite airfield
* Nearby National Trust land and wildlife-rich downs
* Quiet rural lanes leading toward the coast near Mullion Cove and Kynance areas
The area has strong links to Cornwall’s military aviation history. Predannack Airfield was built during World War II and still operates as a relief landing ground for nearby RNAS Culdrose.
There are also historic Cornish stone crosses and ancient routeways nearby, including medieval wayside crosses around Higher Predannack Farm.
