A very enjoyable and efficient Munro round starting high from Cairnwell Pass. The route follows a mix of estate tracks, clear paths and wide, open plateau terrain linking four Munros in a straightforward loop.
No technical sections – this is a non-scrambling route, making it a great option for those starting their Munro journey or looking for a longer but relatively accessible day in the hills.
Terrain is mostly easy underfoot, with boggy ground mainly on the approach to the first Munro. The plateau is exposed, so navigation can become tricky in poor visibility.
Munros in order: Carn an Tuirc → Cairn of Claise → Glas Maol → Creag Leacach
