The Waterline Route is one of the most interesting long-distance cycle routes in the Netherlands, leading through canals, rivers, historic towns and peaceful Dutch landscapes. The route follows the old Dutch water defence lines and offers a very different perspective on the country than the typical image of Amsterdam and busy cities. We loved this route and highly recommend it to anyone interested in cycling tourism in Europe.
