A Circular Route Of Alva

You journey takes you around the edges of Alva, both going and on the way back. The shaded walk along the Back Road is a highlight in itself with lots of wildlife to be seen and a wonderful view of the Wallace Monument.
On reaching the beginning of Menstrie, you turn left and after crossing the main hillfoots road you follow the signs for the cycle path and again turn left. The views of the Ochils whilst heading back towards Alva are amazing in all weathers. A word of warning though, if there’s a wind coming from the North East, be prepared as you’ll be walking straight into it until you reach Alva. Enjoy 🙂
