Garmin Instinct 2
Long circular route linking four Munros in the eastern Fannichs. Good track on approach, followed by a sustained ascent onto the ridge.
Navigation can be challenging in poor visibility — broad, featureless sections on the plateau and multiple cairns.
Terrain is a mix of rocky ridge and grassy sections. Typically very boggy on approach and return, although conditions were unusually dry.
Final descent includes looser, wetter ground.
Physically a long day rather than technical, but requires good fitness and navigation in bad weather.
