The first and last part along the réservoir was beautiful but quite uninteresting for a hiker, more for a family stroll. Otoh, the hike up the hill was more rewarding. Change of scenery, and trees. The hike was not easy on the way up but if you take your time, it is fine. Run into three real cowboys with lassos on their saddle for the occasional stray cow. And then the part to the BlueOak trail was closed. Bummer. Going down was harder on your knees and feet. The weather was perfect. The walk back to the car was kind of longish. Next time, i should check if there are any trail closures and maybe bike to the start of the real hike and go hike from there. Et voila
