Constitution Square and Sant Bartomeu Church, Sóller
Highlight • Settlement
Lined with numerous bars and cafes, the main square, Plaza Constitución, is Sóller's beating heart and is home to the valley's distinctive landmark, the Church of Sant Bartomeu. The tram that connects the city and the port fights its way across this magnificent square, ringing the bell.
The beautifully renovated modernist building Can Prunera in Sóller houses a beautiful permanent exhibition (including Kandinksy, Picasso, Warhol, as well as local artists Miquel Barceló and Francesca Martí), as well as temporary exhibitions. The Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences (Museu Balear de Ciències Naturals) and the Jardí Botànic, a garden with many different endemic plants, are just a few minutes' walk from the town center on the road towards the port.
