Blockheide Observation Tower

Highlight • Viewpoint

Nice excursion destination in the border area, with lots of information about the boulders (wobbling stones) and of course about the 15th eastern longitude, which runs here. A station has also been set up for fans of the Celtic tree circle. Themed trails of various lengths and only slight differences in altitude, so no increased fitness requirements. Entrance from Gmünd or Eibenstein, there are enough parking spaces.

You can hike at any time, only the shop, exhibition and observation tower have opening hours. Everything is closed in bad weather.

Kellergasse Altlichtenwarth

Highlight • Historical Site

The cellar lanes on Silberberg contribute a significant part to the townscape of Altlichtenwarth. The Silberberg belongs with its steep slopes to the best wine growing areas of the village. Legend has it that the silver mountain got its name because the wines were only sold for silver because of their goodness.
