Elterwater to Grasmere loop via Silver How

Steep and slow ascent to Silver How, which is the highest point at 394 M (the profile summary says higher but is wrong). Wonderful views on the way up and at the top.
Sandwich and a soft drink at a cafe in Grasmere.
The walk back is lower and uses road and good track for much of the way, so is easier and quicker to complete than the outward journey.
