Definitely not a moderate hike. It is an expert hike for sure and even includes some small bits of climbing on the steep part up next of the quarry. Make sure to wear good, thick, long pants and socks that go above your ankles, because on that same steep part and up on the plateau above the quarry there are many, many shrubs with thorns.
Total time for us with a lunch break for a picnic of roughly 40mins was 7 hours.
