This ride goes onto The Imber Range Perimeter Path (IRPP) at Nook and follows it to Copehill Down, returning using bridleways through Codford and Sherrington.

Copehill Down is know as "The Ghost Village" and is a purpose built, and ever changing, village used for training in urban warfare. Although it is in the heart of the Salisbury Plain military training area, the tracks around the village are open to the public, subject to care and restrictions.

There are a variety of tracks clearly marked, including the IRPP. Follow the signs and do not cross into areas marked with red flags.

Note: The short section of road on this route near Copehill down is to avoid some severely deteriorated tracks near the village.
