Ascension jusqu'au refuge n°2 assez raide mais facilitée par les marches aménagées. Tour de la caldeira facile et vue spectaculaire si temps dégagé. Attention au chemin très raide pour monter au refuge n°3. Prévoir vêtements de pluie, le temps peut changer très vite.
