It’s a beautiful hike, also in wintertime, but you need to be equipped (we had ice cleats (Grödel) with us) and also be an experienced hiker, because especially along the gorge on the right side there a huge icy parts. The trail is often ensured with ropes which helps to hold on. If in doubt, don’t go up, falling down the cliff wouldn’t be worth it. The crossing over the river might be even easier than in sommertime, but here again, be sure the ice is big enough and holds the weight. The outer way back is an easy stroll down back to the parking (we had it very windy). Extremely beautiful hike!
