From Villach, we left the River Drava and headed south towards Italy, still on the Alpe Adria Cycle Route. We weren’t there for long, but long enough for a detour into Tarvisio to get coffee. From there we headed east into Slovenia, probably the most scenic part of our trip so far, stopping in the uber cool Kranjska Gora for lunch. It’s a very lovely Ski Resort in winter, general outdoor capital in summer. In the afternoon we hopped over the Julian Alps to reach the famous Lake Bled which is stunningly beautiful. Overall a fantastic day’s cycling again.
