A stunning and challenging alpine loop through the Bavarian Prealps, this trail takes you across four iconic peaks: Heimgarten, Schlehdorfer, Herzogstand, and Martinskopf. The route winds through lush forests, steep mountain paths, and panoramic ridgelines with breathtaking views over the Kochelsee and Walchensee lakes. Expect demanding ascents and rocky sections, especially along the Heimgarten–Herzogstand ridge, but your effort is rewarded with one of the most scenic hikes in the region. Best tackled in good weather and with solid footwear.
