Cooking On Gas Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The newest trail out of the two at Lady Cannings. Super fun and flowy, berms for days and some great jumps that are also rollable. This trail can be enjoyed by beginners to experts.

Tip by

4.21 km

Great moorland road, ideal for riders of any ability as it is wide and generally flat (given its location). However, if you are more experienced there are some excellent sections that are a blast flat-out. It links up well with Longshaw to the east, and south onto White Edge and further onto Froggatt and Curbar Edge. It can also be a great way to head north towards Lady Cannings Plantation and down (using Jumble Road) to Blackamoor.

Totley Moor

Highlight • Trail

Long views back across Sheffield over the top of ancient woodland. Watch the shadow of the peaks consume the city at sunset.

Cyclists' Touring Club Centenary Tree Monument

Highlight (Segment) • Monument

This bridleway runs by the side of Hathersage road at the top of Blackamoor. Most of the trails leading off into the woods are a bit too technical for a gravel bike but this is a nice, easy little path.

There are a couple of memorial trees planted along the route including one for the Cyclists Touring Club.

Nice climb, couldn't make it without getting off for a little push! Delightful views up at the top.

Jumble Bridleway

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

This is a great connecting bridal way down to a small road, loose rocky descent that’s fairly straight, but fast. Great fun!

Blue Steel Trail, Lady Canning's Plantation

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Tight fast trail with twists and turns through berms and rollers. A great opportunity for you to pump your way along a relatively smooth surface. Good for both beginners and intermediate.

The Norfolk Arms

Highlight • Parking

Great starting and finishing spot, massive car park allows users easy access to Lady Canning's, and the Peak District beyond. The Norfolk Arms provide great beer and food, though can be very busy when the sun comes out. Enjoy!!
