Marked PR loop, in the forests and meadows of Livradois. It reminds me quite a bit of the Morvan or even the Jura, except that instead of the Alps (for the Jura), the horizon line is, towards the East, that of the Auvergne volcanoes. With a heavy sky and gaps of light it was really beautiful. The waterfall itself is nice too, in a very dark spruce forest at the time we passed there. Downside on the other hand for the two filthy 35kg mutts who greeted me at the entrance to the trail, no one to manage them, and they didn't seem to want to go crazy. I'm not particularly afraid of dogs but hey, a jaw drop... Imagine passing by with a kid... anyway. And since summer 2024 is summer 2024, start of rain in the last 30 minutes. It thunders in the distance, I have an idea of what we risk in the night. For the record I was thinking of doing the loop with Shamann, but 400m of D+ for 13km is... a big ratio, with the HIIT this morning I preferred to walk. It went well.
