The highest mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia is the Langenberg (843m), a wooded peak in the district of the city of Olsberg in the transition to the Hessian Upland. In contrast to its well-known neighbor - the Kahler Asten (842m) - the Langenberg is a rather unpretentious representative of its guild.…

The way there from Bruchhausen to Langenberg was mostly on wide forest roads through spruce forest and it was very windy and foggy (at Langenberg). The way back was more varied with beautiful paths and a few viewpoints.
Beautiful, approx. 4-hour circular hike on the Rothaarsteig over the highest mountain in Westphalia, the Langenberg.
Starting point in Bruchhausen, that is a district of the city of Olsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis. An eventful and challenging hike to the highest mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Langenberg (843m above sea level). A hiking tour with a view of the mighty Bruchhauser Stones (national natural monument), the four rock giants from the Ice Age. It goes up to Langenberg, the highest mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia. At 843 meters above sea level, it is exactly 2 meters higher than the Kahle Asten in Winterberg. Here nature is still nature. From Langenberg back then completely over the Rothaarsteig 😍 Route plan: https: //www.alltrails.com /.../ wanderung-26-06-2021-14-32 ... Yesterday I was still complaining about the signage in the Sauerland, but today I found a positive example! The Langenberg circular trail (B3) is superbly signposted; you can actually walk it without a map. A fantastic trail up the highest mountain in the Sauerland! At 843 meters, it's 1 meter higher than the Kahler Asten.
A nice round trip over NRW's highest mountain, the Langenberg. (843 m). The starting point is Bruchhausen on the famous Steinen. You can visit them another time.
Parked in the parking lot at the church in Bruchhausen, this is where our round started. The goal was the highest point in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Langenberg 848üNN. The path is excellently marked, follow the B3. First it goes over the "hiking highways" of the Rothaarsteig. As you get higher, it gets nicer and steeper, partly through very beautiful high heath areas. Partly with sleet showers we reached the summit and treated ourselves to a Prosecco. Wonderful on the forest hammock. With the wind still strong, we went down via Borbeckplatz and Ochsenkreuz, where there is a great shelter, where we rested again.
Today we decided to climb the highest mountain in ⛰️NRW 🥾🥾😃. We started in the town of Bruchhauen. Nature needs the rain ☔️, but it stayed away. We made a quick ascent along beautiful paths 🌲🌳nothing to complain about 😁plenty of places to stop for a break 👍The descent from the narrow, rustic 🌲🌲 paths was fantastic 🤗Stop at the Gutscafé ☕️delicious 😋great route, even if it was rather 🌫🌫 😃

if you reverse the direction of the route, then your great description will also fit the tour 🙂
