This route was planned by komoot.
Departure was at 8.50 a.m. The sky was overcast and it was cool too. The route was wonderful. Almost the entire route was on cycle paths. Long stretches in the forest. Initially along the Elz stream, later mainly through the forest. The cycle path was a dream to ride. We rode on the former railway line, the hiking path, now a cycle path through the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park. A beautiful area. The hiking path ends and continues as a smart path, also a great cycle path. Then a short break in Amorbach. The surprise, a beautiful place with a church, abbey and beautifully restored half-timbered houses. Today's destination is Miltenberg, also a beautifully restored place with half-timbered houses, cobblestones and located on the Main. Today we left Baden-Württemberg and arrived in Bavaria. Addendum: Miltenberg is a beautiful medieval town and well worth seeing. Pictures will be added later. Today we had a very nice meeting with three Portuguese people who live and work here. And then the five of us sat on the bench and had a chat like you only experience in the south.
Beautiful cycling tour over the Neckar-Main cross-link to Miltenberg to the Faust brewery with a guided tour through the brewery...without E...the calories have to be worked off...
Very nice first stage completed plus 15 km more. A tough climb at the beginning but then a pleasant course along the Main.

Did the trail (Oct 2020) with my son (12). Was his first "long" tour on the bike. Tip. The GPX file of the trail, which you can download and which will also have been the basis for planning here, seems to be ancient. It actually consists of points that are marked on a map every 20-50m. Especially Komoot
