This route was planned by komoot.
If you want to have peace and quiet while hiking in the morning, you should first start on the ridge and then take the valley path. We walked the other way around, we thought whole buses with hikers arrived
Not a nice path, still a lot of mud and too much "forest highway"
I really liked the tour, even though the larkspur bloom is almost over. The inclines are also manageable for lowland hikers like me. There are enough benches, some with wonderful views, as well as two huts.
I discovered this one here: TERRA.vita Nature and UNESCO Geopark, and I picked out a route and hiked part of it. It was okay, but I think it would be nice to do it by bike, too. It's not really challenging, but it's a good way to get back into it. Otherwise, the pictures are accurate.
* Nice Sunday walk, where you'll definitely get something to bloom on:-) * Perfect hiking weather/sunshine for a walk, cooled down by a gentle breeze *But that also drives everyone into the forest (untouched nature can no longer be fully enjoyed🥲 * Well armed with a tick spray that smells as if the lemon toilet stone had just fallen into a bouldering shoe - which was worn without socks - of course the common wood tick doesn't want that either * Organic apples (not for juggling) * Bad Iburg is always worth a trip and the ice cream parlor is totally fine
The Terratrack Freedenblossom was on my list for March/April. The Freeden hasn't bloomed yet, but it's already well on the way there 🙂 Due to the heavy rainfall in the last few days, some passages are very muddy, but still accessible.
I wanted to enjoy some sun today. I quickly chose a route and headed out into nature 🏞️
Today's starting point was Bad Iburg. From there, we continued on to the Herrmannshöhen and the TERRA.track Freedenblüte. Wide hiking highways and beautiful forest and ridge paths alternated today. By the way, if you're drawn to the display and information boards, you might want to plan a little more time in this area. Since different themed trails converge here, there's a lot to read 😉
