Parking is certainly not a problem anywhere in Seedorf, but there's also an official parking lot at the church... We first visited the church and the cemetery, which are very beautiful and well-maintained. The church was accessible, so we couldn't resist taking a look inside. Surprisingly, we found it seemed less tall inside than it did from the outside, which might be due to the slender tower 🤔 Since we were planning to eat at a local restaurant, we first took a walk through Seedorf to pass the time. We noticed that there were quite a few abandoned houses here as well... After dinner, we passed the little church again and set off for a walk on the Seedorf Werder. But first, you pass the Seedorf "castle," which was never actually home to a king or princess, but is merely a relatively magnificent mansion. Today, there are several apartments inside, and it's not open to visitors. Now, let's continue on to Werder. The loop, or rather the signposted hiking trail, mostly goes around the outside, with a few views of the Schaalsee and the Seedorf Küchensee. It's all quite quiet and therefore pleasant to walk. Even on a sunny day, it's definitely a hike that would promise shade.
Today we were at the Seedorfer Werder. Completely new for us. The book https://www.amazon.de/Hidden-Locations-Spektakul%C3%A4re-fotografieren-Foto-Locations/dp/3836286246/ref=sr_1_1?crid=206FHK028W573&keywords=hidden+locations&qid=1694454995&sprefix gave us the idea =hidden+loca%2Caps%2C127&sr=8-1 and in it a hint from Timm Allrich to Lake Dargower. We found really nice motifs there. Definitely spectacular during the golden or blue hour. A nice corner for walking. It was pretty quiet there today. The forest is mostly natural, but nothing special. Nevertheless - the tour from Kiel was worth it!
"Actually," I wanted to go to Seedorf, where the districts of Berlin, Kurfürsten Damm and Potsdamer Platz, Hell, and Wide World are located. So I fired up the sat nav and off I went :-) What I didn't know: there's one in Holstein Switzerland and one near Segeberg. Great, of course I was in the "wrong" one. But I only realized that after I'd finished the walk with the dog and was looking for Hell ;-) 67 minutes away according to the sat nav. It was still nice.
