A historic and thatched 18th century barn right next to the reservoir, which was restored using heather from this area to make it look like what it was 150 years prior. A pretty special place.

Highlight • Viewpoint

A nice bridge here over Blea Gill (sometimes called Blea Beck), at the foot of the wooded slopes of Bracken Haw. Definitely worth stopping here and looking at the reservoir, which is looking rather lovely from this quiet spot.

This is looking a bit like a spaceship, but this is in fact a valve tower and overflow weir for the reservoir. It's a very striking and strangely modern building, particularly in these natural surroundings.
