Church of St. Ursula on Uršlja Gora (Mount St. Ursula)

Highlight • Religious Site

This is the highest church in Slovenia. It is 1699 m above sea level. It can be reached on foot from a car park located a little lower, or you can go up from the valley along three different paths. You can even get married there. Next door on the summit is a hut that also offers overnight accommodation.
There is also a great view of the Meža, Mislinja, Drava and Šaleška valleys.

Uršlja gora or Plešivecn / Mount St. Ursula/Ursulaberg (1,699 meters) is the easternmost peak of the caravan park, located between Slovenj Gradec and Črna na Koroška. The settlements of Uršlja Gora, (Jazbina), Podgora and Zgornji Razbor reach the top of the mountain. Due to the exceptional view over the whole of Carinthia to Kozjak and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, it is an important viewpoint on the Slovenian mountain route. Below the peak are the church of St. Uršula, a television transmitter and a mountain lodge, and on the edge above the mountain lodge is a monument to the Carinthian fighters who fell in the battles for Carinthia in 1918 and 1919.
