In the Steinhaus am Ossiachersee, the innovative power reached its peak in the projects of the world-renowned architect Günther Domenig. The house is therefore probably the most famous work of contemporary Carinthian architecture. The transformation of regional landscape elements led to an architectural sculpture with noticeable room intensity. The inspiring density of the place is exploited through a multi-faceted program of symposia, workshops and events. Together with the stone house Günther Domenig private foundation the architecture house Carinthia leads the stone house into a living future.

The renowned Carinthian architect Günther Domenig has set himself a personal monument here on the shores of Lake Ossiach. In his personal home, he fulfilled all of his design wishes and dreams. At first, the abstract concrete facade looks cool and forbidding, but if you look closely, you can see Domenig's intentions. He tried to depict the mountains of Carinthia in the gray walls. Get involved in the impressive building, because then you will recognize its creative masterpiece.

After the builder died in 2012, the stone house can now be viewed from mid-June to early September. The house is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, guided tours through the building are offered every Wednesday from mid-May to the end of October.
