Lake Tremorgio

Highlight • Lake

The cable car begins its journey in Rodi-Fiesso (940 m), a district of Prato Leventina, and overcomes the almost 1000 meters altitude in just five minutes. From the mountain station (1830 m) it is only a few minutes walk to the Tremorgio hut. From there there are numerous hiking trails into the fascinating mountain world.
2 cabins, each with a capacity of 8 people, operate daily from June to mid-October, from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (weather permitting).
INFO: The Tremorgio cable car cabins DO NOT allow the transport of bicycles or mountain bikes as they are not equipped with the appropriate hooks and compartments.

Rare Flowers on Limestone in the Ticino Alps

Highlight • Natural Monument

Unfortunately, I have to admit that I am not really a great botanist, but the blooming splendor on and along this path simply cannot be overlooked. Thanks to the beautiful information boards, I was also able to identify some species myself.

Leìt Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The hut thrives on its wonderful location and its central starting point for various pass routes. For us, it was simply too cold today to sit on the terrace at 2270 m above sea level almost next to the still ice-covered Lago di Leit, even though the ambience is wonderfully high alpine.

Leit Lake

Highlight • Lake

Starting from May to October is better period to hike to this mountain lake (@ 2260 m altitude) generated by the melting of snow and ice.

Passo di Venett

Highlight • Mountain Pass

From here the path goes very steeply down into the valley... the surrounding mountains shine white... the paths are also full of fine, white sand

Alpe Campolungo

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Alm Alpe Campolungo must be highlighted as a highlight here. Anyone who has struggled up the steep path on Lake Tremorgio up here will be rewarded with the most wonderful views. Even if Peter only allowed the sun in sporadic places, this place was simply wonderful. We even ran into a marmot and had a photo taken in peace.

Capanna Tremorgio

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The hut consists of a cozy living room with fireplace (capacity approx. 40 people), a fully equipped kitchen and double service with shower.
As for accommodation, the offer consists of three rooms with 5, 14 and 20 beds, a 3-seater apartment and from one to 5 with separate kitchen and bathroom.

The outside area is enriched by a large garden and a terrace (with an attached fireplace), which serves as an ideal social meeting place during the summer.
