Münstertal Campsite

Highlight • Rest Area

If you think you're going to a simple Campinglatz restaurant (Restaurant Bure Stube), you're wrong. The restaurant is more of a good middle-class restaurant, the rooms are beautifully decorated with wood, and the menu leaves nothing to be desired.

Good place to cool off tired feet. The 4 benches with a table are ideal for preparing a coffee on the gas stove.

August 21, 2023,Zwei-Burgen-Pfad Münstertal Staufen
The Two Castles Path is a popular hiking route that runs through scenic countryside. It is advisable to wear good shoes as the path can be a bit challenging in places. Unfortunately, the signage is not always optimal, so it is helpful to have a map or a hiking app with you to find the right way.

Today we were out and about in the Munster Valley again. The starting point of the two-castle path is the car park at the Etzenbach train station (muenstertal-staufen.de/Media/Wandern-Radfahren-Naturglück/Zwei-Burgen-Pfad-Muenstertal-Staufen). On narrow paths it went steeply uphill through the Staufen climbing forest to the Böckfelsen and then more gently uphill on forest paths. The most beautiful part of the tour began just …

Nice round 🚶‍♂️🐕
with 👀view of the ⛰️Vosges⛰️.
Our start and 🏁destination is the 🏕Münstertal campsite.

A very nice tour with narrow paths and partly rocky.
A part of the path, which also leads through the Staufen climbing park, unfortunately does not exist in the Komot maps. But luckily the tour is well signposted. On the way back I had to make a small detour because part of the castle path was closed due to tree …

We can also use the last sunny day before the rainy weather for our third and last tour of the short vacation in the Black Forest. We are really happy that the ascent to the "Two Castles" is almost entirely in the forest. In return, of course, without right panorama corners. There is that up at the "Altes Schloss" refuge, …

Nice hike with crisp climbs, part of the route is covered in scree and is difficult to walk. Sturdy shoes required. As a reward, a piece of Black Forest cake
