Canyamel Coastal Trail

Highlight • Trail

The Canyamel coastal path is closed following a landslide. At least, that's what the signs on the tour board in Canyamel and the distinctive red crosses at the start of the coastal path indicate.

View of Canyamel Bay

Highlight • Viewpoint

Here you go off the road to the summit tour. Always follow the red dots or markings. Always! If after a few meters you can no longer see a red sign: turn around and search again from the last red point! There are well-trodden paths and cairns, but they deviate from the "red" path. The path is very overgrown with reed grass, so wear long pants or zip-off pants. Thick trousers might help against the thorn bushes. A long-sleeved t-shirt is also an advantage in summer to avoid scratches from branches etc.
The tour is very strenuous, as it goes uphill for hours and then steeply down again. But it's worth it!! There are always fantastic views!

March 8, 2026,Runde von Costa des Pins über Canyamel
A beautiful loop hike from Costa des Pins via Canyamel and back along the cliffs. On the ascent, always follow the red markers until you reach the descent to Canyamel. Sturdy footwear and sure footing are required. Some scrambling is necessary in places, but manageable. On the return journey along the cliffs, follow the silver markers until you reach the …

We walked the circuit clockwise today! An absolute must, not possible the other way round. There were some very difficult sections, the path was hard to find. But doable for those with some experience and good footwear. You are rewarded with great views.

** This was one of the most wonderful hikes I have experienced here. The weather did not seem to be on my side but I saw that as more of a challenge. The peaks of the mountains were covered in clouds and when I got up there, it was a wonderful, contemplative experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
By the way, I left …

Section along the steep coast difficult to pass, as there is no path and a lot of loose scree on the slope makes progress difficult.

The end of this tour goes through undergrowth, so I cannot recommend it. The path along the Cap des Pinar is difficult to find. Perhaps it is better to take the path to the left where we mistakenly kept to the right. The problem is that the settlement is fenced in and it is difficult to get to the road. …

My family and I didn't like this tour at all. Mostly it runs through residential areas and past a golf course. If you would like to see the second and third houses of rich German and English people, this is the right place for you. Completely unsuitable as a hike from my point of view because you can hardly see …
