Trig point at Ecton Hill summit

Ecton Hill summit reaches an altitude of 369m. It's also known locally as "Hollow Hill" due to the extensive mining operations that have gone on here for centuries. The ground under your feet is still solid enough to support a trig point, so it's all good.

Nan Tor Cave

Nan Tor cave is perched above Wetton Mill Farm and the tearooms.

When excavated, Nan Tor was found to contain a wide array of prehistoric material including a human skeleton, Neolithic pottery, flint tools and arrowheads from the Mesolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age, bone tools, animal bones, pendants and later finds up to the Medieval period.
