Ossie's Fish & Chips

Highlight • Restaurant

An excellent fish and chippy, just away from the tourist hub of the town centre. Well worth the extra KM to get to it. You can eat in, eat on the benches outside or if the weather is OK, take your fish and chips and sit on the beach just a few metres away! (Watch out for seagulls though!)

Whitstable Harbour

Highlight • Structure

There is a lovely little market at Whitstable Harbour. It has expanded enormously over the years and now has some really excellent, trendy restaurants as well as arts and crafts stalls where you can find some gems. There are also a number of very cheap stalls selling fresh fish and takeaway food just outside the market itself.

Whitstable Bay

Highlight • Beach

This stretch of coastline is a wonderful place to enjoy the sea, preferably with a portion of fish and chips. Whitstable's seafront is a lovely postcard scene – boats bob in the harbour and oystercatchers sort their catch on the roadside. If you visit the bay, make sure to try oysters here. From Roman times until the mid-20th century, oysters were gathered on Whistable Bay's sea beds.
