Pasture Icelandic horses

Highlight • Structure

For many years, this area has been home to pastures for Icelandic horses belonging to the nearby Münzenfelder Hof Icelandic Horse Stud. Depending on the season, you can see these sturdy animals, which are sometimes quite friendly.

Wonderful autumn weather: on the occasion of a visit to the region we visited the Paulinensee. An artificially created retention reservoir, which you can hardly tell 'depending on the direction you look'. Only the 5m high dyke behind it reveals that it has been 'helped along' a little for the sake of functionality.
