Saint Francis Xavier Church

This chapel located on the heights to the south-east of Monticello next to the sports complex, dates from the 2nd half of the 17th century (around 1663) and its 18th century dome has been restored. Its construction, according to Abbot Orticoni, would be on the initiative of a Jesuit father wishing to protect the population from enemy incursions. The church has been listed as a Historic Monument since December 14, 1992.
