Żywiec Brewery

Highlight • Monument

The brewery in Żywiec was founded on the initiative of the prince of Cieszyn and the owner of the so-called of the Żywiec state Albrecht Frederick Habsburg. He was the son of Archduke Charles Ludwik Habsburg, who inherited the Duchy of Cieszyn and the Żywiec lands from his stepfather, Prince Albert Kazimierz Sasko-Cieszyński, who in turn was the son of the Polish king Augustus III of Saxony. Both Prince Albert and his adopted son Karol Ludwik successively expanded their estates through purchases, gathering in their hands almost the entire state of Żywiec, which then passed into the possession of the archduke. Albrecht Frederick Habsburg.

Żywiec Brewery

Highlight • Monument

The museum consists of 18 rooms with a total area of approximately 1600 m2.
The Żywiec Brewery Museum is a private museum of Grupa Żywiec. It is located in the former lagering cellars of the Archduke Brewery in Żywiec. After the modernization carried out in 2016, the museum surprises with its interesting form and interactivity
and accessibility of the information provided. The exhibits, multimedia and interactive applications gathered there make visitors travel to distant times, learn about the rich history of the brewery, beer production technology, beer styles, places where the beer produced here is exported and the first brewers of the 19th Żywiec Brewing School. Among the numerous exhibits, there is a rich collection of bottles, glasses and beer mugs. After sightseeing, guests have time to rest and consume Zywiec beer. The last point of the visit
there is a gift shop in the museum where everyone can find something interesting for themselves. The Museum and Brewery in Żywiec is an interesting destination for both enthusiasts of the history of the region and the beer itself.

For the second time I managed to get my son to crank. I'm proud of him, junior did 49 kilometers!

Żywiec still has some work to do on this route, but from Wieprz to Rajcza itself it is pure joy to pedal

It came out exactly 80km, forgot to turn off the pause 😅

The route is very well marked and not too difficult

Showing Translation

Due to the chosen parking place for the car, after 450 m from the start (and 450 m before the end) it was necessary to carry the bikes "up the stairs" to get to the trail. Of course, this could have been avoided if you had started Velo Soła a little earlier.

The famous Velo Soła is done. The perfect route for a family trip. Picturesque, flat in appearance, but varied. Lots of places to rest. The highlight is the section by the lake itself, a brilliant few kilometers with a wonderful view. I'm coming back with my family soon.
