Ourthe Canal

Highlight • River

The engineers who built this canal wanted to avoid river navigation as much as possible.

They had a canal lateral to the Ourthe dug in the alluvial plain. This reduced the dangers of currents and shoals in the adjacent watercourse.

Roche-aux-Faucons Loop

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The Roche-aux-Faucons loop is a superb section of the RAVeL (Greenways and Cycle Routes in Wallonia). Eminently verdant, with a magnificent rocky ridge, the panorama is worth a pause, whether you are above or at the foot of the cliff.

July 5, 2025,Mini aventure - bikepacking avec Amaury - Comblain-au-Pont

First bikepacking "mini adventure" with Amaury.

We left Beyne-Heusay to reach Hamoir via the Ravel (41km).

We passed through villages such as Vaux-sous-Chèvremont, Chênée, Tilff, Méry, Esneux, Poulseur, and Comblain-au-Pont.

We ended our trip at the Rocher de la Vierge campsite, where we spent the night in a tent.
