Hard road ride. Very good fitness required. Mostly well-paved surfaces and easy to ride. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport.

My first (and last) road bike tour. Only headwind until Pajara. I could hardly get out of the lowest gears, except on the descents. Then it got a bit better with the wind. But I could still ride in a t-shirt. But a road bike, even if it's a great bike and perfectly adjusted, isn't for me.

In general, the following applies to Fuerteventura: although there is little traffic, most of the roads are not really suitable for racing bikes. Even dirt roads are better here..... The constant wind should not be underestimated either, it makes it very exhausting and, above all, dangerous
