We followed Komoot's suggestions for an alternative route to the Appia from Itri to Fondi (at times narrow and very busy with trucks and vans): after a short stretch of the Appia da Itri we turned left towards Vacastello and towards San Raffaele. Not to be repeated due to a 20% gradient and poor asphalt 😅... still a great adventure!
