The Lura Park develops around the river of the same name. The idea of preserving this area was born in 1975 when several municipalities in the area joined together in a purification consortium with the aim of diverting the sewage discharges that flowed into the river towards a newly built purification plant. The park was instead established in the 1980s. Half of the park's surface is covered by oak and black locust woods while the rest is made up of cultivated fields. Inside there is a network of over 16 kilometers of dirt roads, tracks and paths that connects the entire valley around the course of the Lura.

Inside the Groane park there are various pedestrian and cycle paths that allow you to explore this area of great geological and botanical interest. The composition of the soil is characterized by the presence of ferretto, a reddish clay, a material that has made this area unsuitable for agriculture, favoring the development of the moorland. Inside the park there are several farmhouses, some still in use, historic villas and disused kilns.

Excellent route that develops mostly on cycle paths and dirt roads for two parks in the area (Groane park and Lura park).
You reach the Groane park from Limbiate and then follow the cycle paths southwards to the Garbagnate M.se station.
You pass under the station to reach the Villoresi cycle path (there is a staircase with a ramp for …
