October 2024: The pista ciclabile is ready between Ospedaletti and Porto Maurizio / Imperia. The section within Imperia is still under construction, except for a small piece (tunnel) in Oneglia / Imperia. The section between Imperia and Diano Marino is temporary closed for completion so this means climbing the Capo Berta on via Aurelia.
The section from Cervo to Andora is also under construction. Probably not completed until summer 2025.

...early in the morning we roll down to Imperia. The former railway line is an ingenious bike path, always along the sea. We drive to Arma di Taggia and have a leisurely breakfast there. I also have a deja vus... here: I ended up here after my WAC 2019... on the last (11th) day from the Ligurian border ridge road …

Sanremo is not a must-see, but Bussana Vecchia, the incredible place, is definitely a must-see.
The history of the place is also very interesting on Google.
If you come there, please say hello to Ronaldo.

Superb bike path, with long tunnels to cool off. The trail is wide, easy, and pleasant, with magnificent views of the sea and flowerbeds all along the way. The bougainvillea is impressively beautiful!
Small drawback: the path is closed at Arma di Taggia due to roadworks. There are no signs to get back to the path further on, and crossing …
