Hard road ride. Very good fitness required. Mostly well-paved surfaces and easy to ride. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport.

Granadilla de Abona

Highlight • Settlement

Granadilla is a typical canarian village with San Antonio church where there are valuable works of art. You can also see here and there canarian houses with wooden balconies. Various murals also adorn the village.

The Parish of San Antonio de Padua was built in 1617 and again in 1645.

Sadly, the church was burned in a fire, but in 1711, its foundations were used to build the current Church of San Antonio de Padua.

Between Granadilla and San Miquel is the Orchilla ravine. Despite not being able to access it, its depth can be appreciated very well from this point.

A great tour for relaxing; there's hardly any traffic after El Rio. I highly recommend the detour to La Zarza, although the descent is a bit steep.
