Calmont via ferrata

Highlight • Climb

A fantastic climb. Great opportunities to rest, great views, doable with children and great as a circular hiking trail via the Calmont Höhenwanderweg.

On weekends and public holidays, wine from Calmont and cake are served here. Tastes great, after you have the via ferrata behind you.

Calmont Ridge Trail

Highlight • Trail

A super "via ferrata" or rather "climb" for beginners. There, surefootedness and, to a certain extent, height suitability can be tested. Via ferrata set is not mandatory, but advisable especially for inexperienced climbers. Sturdy shoes and gloves are required!

Today we did a little Calmont tour in very stormy weather. The way back on the Moselhöhenweg is not so nice, they are probably building wind turbines there and the path has already been dug wide for it... what a pity! At the end we got caught in heavy rain and took a shortcut. Wet greetings from the Mosel 🙄🌧

A suspected alpine vineyard with all-foot challenges. The Calmontsteig between Eller and Bremm provides a real feeling of exhilaration and optical sensory overload. Sturdy shoes and a head for heights are a must, then nothing stands in the way of hiking and scrambling. Magnificent panoramas at every turn!

This morning, I stopped my bike ride after just 23 km because I was freezing cold 🥶. To end the weekend properly, I pulled out the all-purpose, good-mood hiking weapon, Calmont, in the late afternoon. As always 😎😃🤩! Almost had a first. Just before the end, I encountered the first and only three hikers (a nice group from Frankfurt). Otherwise, …
